Using the site

You may play, share your results and link to any page. Please don’t scrape the site in bulk, interfere with how it works, or present it as your own.

The paintings

All paintings shown are in the public domain, and the images come from sources that release them for free reuse. You can use them as the source allows; the Sources and rights page links to each one. Public domain status can differ between countries, so check the rules where you live before reusing an image commercially.

Our texts and design

The explanations, articles, game and design of Guess the Painting are our own work. You may quote short passages with a link back. Please ask before reproducing more.

Accuracy

We check facts carefully, but mistakes happen. The site is provided as is, without warranties. If you spot an error, tell us at support@guessthepainting.com and we will fix it.

Rights holders

If you believe something here infringes your rights, email us with the page address and the basis of your claim. We remove disputed material within one working day while we look into it.
